Well, so much for “...continue to operate on a limited basis.”

I happened to be at Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) today (17 July 2009) when they hauled the Preferred Traveler kiosk out of the terminal at 4:21 pm.

Much like Clear -- http://www.flyclear.com -- it looks like Preferred Traveler is shutting down. Their website -- http://www.jax-vip.com -- still says they are still in business, but this photo suggests otherwise.

Their website is still up as of 17 July 2009.

Oh well... I think TSA has killed their own little pet project.
